His dad drilled into Carl and his sister the discipline and follow-through so necessary to success in the military. After graduating high school, Carl attended both the Art Institute of Charleston and Trident Technical College while working in food services. Later, he moved on to cable installation but wanted to work with people, so he applied for a job at Paradise RV and was hired two weeks later. Carl has worked at Paradise RV for a year and currently wears many hats: videographer, camera man (you've probably seen he and Nate on videos!), sales, manager of rental fleet, and, sometimes, he moonlights as technician! Carl has been married to Tierra for 11 years. She works at FedEx as a delivery driver and live in Ladson. He says working at Paradise RV has new challenges every day. So far, he likes being rental manager best because it's a straightforward process, he says, and he enjoys getting people set up and then hearing their stories when they get back. His advice: Never be afraid to try new things—be spontaneous! And, love people. In the next five years, he hopes he and Tierra can begin to see the American dream unfold: kids, house, and even owning his own business someday. ![Screen Shot 2023-02-14 at 8.51.35 AM](https://info.charlestonparadise.com/hubfs/Screen%20Shot%202023-02-14%20at%208.51.35%20AM.png "Screen Shot 2023-02-14 at 8.51.35 AM") # SAVE THE DATE Don't miss the Charleston RV Show, March 17-19 at the North Charleston Convention Center.
